I had a call last week from a guy I’d worked with briefly a year or so ago. He wondered if it was OK to pass my name on for some writing work. (um, sure).
The company rang today – it sounds interesting. They’re looking for people who can write training manuals ‘on spec’ with around a week’s turn-around. They don’t pay a huge amount, but it’s work that can be done from home/wherever, and they have a fairly steady supply of it – they were saying they currently have at least 5-6 weeks’ work lined up.
Revamped my CV and sent it off. The two projects I’m working on at the moment would definitely leave time for this. And looked at it another way, the money from this would pay my (admittedly fairly minimal) “salary” and let me save what I earn from other projects to spend on games in Essen.
Whee!
