One of our missions today was to buy some new dinner plates. There were cheap ones that were OK, and there were (considerably) more expensive ones that I liked a lot. And which were heavily discounted.
Turns out, Fraser has an aversion to cheap crockery. Nice ones it was.
I got home and looked up the style name. It’s a Villeroy & Boch pattern. Called “Twist Alea”.
So, Puerto Rico for starters? Followed by Princes of Florence, with a side order of Louis XIV.

My office uses furniture from a company called Alea. I don’t think it’s a division of Ravensburger (or wherever they’ve moved to now).
Googling “alea furniture” reveals a multitude of links, including a company in Queensland.

So after dinner, how about an Alea game on an Alea table with Alea plates?

But … but it’s ugly! And it’s office furniture. Sigh. You got my hopes up for this? 🙂
