First, the new shelves that we went to get. (Curtain still needs adjusting).
These are the new shelves with the square root issues
Then, there are the teeny weeny new shelves:
These are the ones we built yesterday. Pile of games on top should go, soon
And the old shelves, too, for good measure (the 2 shelves below have cookbooks and photos). See how they obscure the French Doors? The view may be nothing (narrow pathway and fence with climbing rose), but they do let in quite a lot of light. When there isn’t a bookshelf across them, that is.
I tidied up these games too.

French doors? I didn’t even realise there was a window there. The new shelves look very nice. I need to move a TV cabinet and get a new game shelf in my house, too.

In fairness, you were there after dark – but yeah. The window was deemed Less Necessary than the extra game storage.
New shelving plan is complex but achievable. I just need to get the new sofas first.

Melissa, I can distinctly see a copy of Monopoly in that pile. You could make room for a decent game by “retiring” it…

I have GOT to go through and do something similar with ours. The games are just a mess… sort of crammed in whatever way we could get them to fit. I’ve got some more shelves I actually want to use for them, but I’ve got to figure out new and better places to stash the classic console system game cartridges that are currently taking up that space.
You’ve definitely inspired me, though!
